About Our Client
For our client, we are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager responsible for driving commercial growth in Poland through strong distributor management, strategic planning, and flawless execution in the veterinary and pet retail environment. In this role, you will lead the country’s commercial agenda, build high-impact distributor relationships, adapt regional strategies to local market needs, and ensure continuous growth in volume, visibility, and market share.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and implement annual joint business plans with the distributor, aligned with regional strategy and local opportunities.
  • Own and train distributor teams on 5P standards, ensuring perfect execution in stores and vet clinics.
  • Develop and oversee the country promotional grid and ensure flawless implementation.
  • Conduct regular ride-alongs with distributor sales reps to assess performance and provide coaching.
  • Act as the key liaison between multifunctional teams and the distributor to ensure integrated execution.
  • Bring distributor insights into strategic planning and provide continuous two-way feedback.
  • Evaluate distributor capabilities, identify gaps, and recommend improvements to support growth.
  • Manage GTN budget, ensure compliance with pricing guidelines, and report any issues.
  • Monitor market trends, trade conditions, and competitive landscape to refine country strategies.
  • Maintain direct relationships with key customers and influencers where needed to support growth.
Candidate Profile
  • Strong commercial and sales background (min. 4–5 years in FMCG).
  • Proven experience in distributor management and business development.
  • Fluent in Polish and English (written and spoken).
  • Deep understanding of local markets and CEE cultural environment.
  • Strong negotiation, relationship‑building, and communication skills.
  • Well-organized, proactive, able to work independently, and travel up to 50%.
  • Experience in pharmacy, pet food, nutrition, or dermo-cosmetics is an advantage.
